So, channeling my inner Martha Stewart, I decided I was going to DIY this little project. Here's my inspiration:
How I did it:
I ended up finding all of my DIY supplies at Garden Ridge, but I'm sure you could find what you need at a large craft store like Michael's or AC Moore. I purchased a silver metallic candle holder/vase, a small block of green floral foam, and an assortment of pink silk flowers.
First, I cut the foam into the correct size for the vase - it's always best if it's a snug fit - then put the foam into the vase. I trimmed the silk flowers to the appropriate length (FYI: it's best to use scissors made for cutting wire, or pliers...I learned the hard way). Then, I began arranging the floral stems by sticking them into the floral foam, and I continued to add flowers and greenery until the arrangement looked "full" and had no noticeable gaps. This little project was incredibly easy and took all of 15 minutes from start to finish...and I even did two of them! Here's what mine looks like:

Beautiful arrangement, Brittany. I love the vibrant colors of the flowers. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Samantha! I wasn't sure I loved the bright flowers when I chose them, but it all came together nicely! :)
